What you’ll do: As Growth and Marketing Lead, you’ll build and lead all go-to-market efforts for Privacy Party and future Block Party products, responsible for driving installs and usage. You’ll hone our consumer messaging and positioning, and translate it into compelling, full-funnel campaigns. You’ll cultivate an eager, highly engaged audience across multiple social channels, infusing our brand with urgency and emotion to help spur our users to action. You’ll take an iterative and experimental approach to developing distribution channels, laying the foundations for explosive (but ultimately sustainable!) growth. You’ll invest in the exceptional community that our first product developed, and find ways to expand to new groups of people who will most benefit from greater control over their online experiences. You’ll prioritize ruthlessly and develop well-documented growth systems that make it easy to move quickly, place bets fearlessly, and learn as much as possible along the way.

What we’re looking for:

  • Well-rounded go-to-market expert who spikes in content / organic social and growth, with a solid foundation in product marketing
  • At least 4 years experience in marketing or growth for a consumer software product
  • Experience working for an early stage startup
  • Someone who actually uses social media personally (sorry, lurkers, this role is not for you)
  • Comfort not only learning and making decisions from data, but partnering with eng to orchestrate the right metrics and systems
  • Enthusiasm to try lots of things and iterate very quickly
  • Exceptional judgment and taste
  • A passion for the details and a high quality bar, as well as the awareness of when it is appropriate to maintain that bar versus ship quickly
  • Self accountability and the ability to execute in a remote startup environment
  • Curiosity, humility, a desire to learn and grow and to help others learn and grow
  • Passion for thoughtful, ethical technology

Nice to have but not required:

  • Have built an audience for yourself on one or more social media platforms
  • Experience building distribution partnerships
  • Experience with privacy / trust and safety / moderation / anti-abuse
  • Experience working on hybrid B2B / B2C products
